Lance Hamilton and Ed Moore opened All About Shipping in November of 2003, but we were not beginners at shipping parcels via the small parcel carrier network by any means. We have been partners in a wholesale business for almost 20 years and during those years, have shipped Millions of dollars worth of our own product via the 3 main parcel carriers that we do business with today. It was during these years that we learned the right and the wrong way to ship parcels, both large and small. When we first started, we were hand writing labels and filling out the old UPS Pickup Record books by hand. Now we have the latest electronic technology available to process packages including direct electronic links to DHL, FedEx, and UPS. When we process a package on our manifest system, the information regarding the package is transmitted directly to the carriers and a ramp ready label is printed out with all of the sender's and receiver's information clearly machine readable, along with bar codes, to insure against any mistakes while the package is moving through the carrier's system. We do everything we can to prevent mistakes…before they happen. We do this to protect our shipments that we still process for our wholesale business, and we do it for ALL of our customers as well.
In addition to learning the best way to ship our own products, we also learned the best way to pack our shipments to prevent any damage from occurring during transit. All About Shipping is a member of the Associated Mail & Parcel Centers and a licensee of Neighborhood Postal Centers, a trademark of AMPC and the retail arm of the independent mail & parcel industry. This organization helps us to stay in tune with carrier changes and other happenings. It also sponsors group buying of products and services to bring our clients the best for the least. This also gave us the opportunity to take the AMPC Certified Packing Specialist course and learn even more about the best packing techniques to use to guarantee insurability and prevent damage to your items being shipped. All of our employees are required to take and pass this course and become Certified Packing Specialists to better serve our customers that need that special or fragile item, packed and shipped in a manner that insures it will arrive at it's destination in the same condition it left our store in.
Our goal in serving you, our customer, is to provide the best possible method to get your item to its destination, at a reasonable price, with as little inconvenience to you as possible. We promise to do everything we can to accomplish this goal.
